PTO is seeking a Co-Treasurer

Pueblo PTO is looking for an individual to act as co-treasurer.  This position requires approximately 1-2 hours of time per week.  You would be responsible for making deposits at the bank and writing checks once a week. This is a dual position, so you will be working along with the current treasurer. If you are interested, please contact Kristi Johnson at kristijohn@Hotmail.com.
  

Box Tops deadline extended one last time!

We are trying really hard to give all students a milk and cookie party at lunch in December. The Box Tops deadline has been extended one last time in an effort to obtain just 700 more Box Tops by FRIDAY, DEC 6 to reach our goal of 5,000. Pueblo receives 10 cents per box top!  Please neatly trim all box tops. Any untrimmed box tops will not count towards grade level top 5 award.

Want to meet other Kyrene parents and district employees?

The PTO is seeking a  PSC (Parent Superintendent Council) representative(s) to attend 3 meetings and present a report at the following PTO meeting. There will be PTO representation from all schools in the Kyrene district. The group meets periodically to discuss events or concerns occurring in the district. It is a nice way to meet other parents and district employees. The meeting dates are listed below and all meetings are held 9:30 – 11:00 am.

- Jan 21 at Altadeña

- Feb 18 at Mariposa

- April 15 at the District Office

If you are interested, please contact pueblo.pto@gmail.com.  We can have a different representative at each meeting, so if you can only commit to one date that is fine!

4 easy ways to earn funds for Pueblo!

1. We are sooo close to reaching our goal of 5,000 Box Tops - keep them coming in so all students will receive a milk and cookie party at lunch in December. THIS FRIDAY, NOV 22 is the deadline to submit Box Tops for the party! Pueblo receives 10 cents per box top!  Please neatly trim all box tops. Any untrimmed box tops will not count towards grade level top 5 award. See attached flyer.

2. School Cents Program – Pueblo is currently ranked number 23 in the district and we must be ranked in the top 10 to be considered next year again for this program.  Whenever you shop at Chandler Fashion Center and surrounding shops, save your receipts and submit to the School Cents box in the office. Or stop by Guest Services any time at the mall to log your receipts with Pueblo, and we’ll get credit for them. Mall gift cards, Photo with Santa and Kids Club for Toddlers also all count. This program is ongoing through April 15, 2014.

3. Fry’s Community Rewards Program – We only have 26 Pueblo households signed up for this program so far.  All you need to do is sign up with your V.I.P. Card at this link:
http://www.frysfood.com/community/Pages/community_rewards.aspx, search Pueblo and select “Kyrene del Pueblo Middle School PTO Organization 80533”. Then Pueblo earns funds every time you shop at Fry's with your V.I.P. card. All participants must re-enroll each year.

4. Target “Take Charge of Education” Program - Attach your debit card to the Target REDcard and you save 5% and Pueblo gets 5%.  It's a great program and so easy!  Just visit www.target.com/tcoe or call 800-316-6142 to designate Pueblo for your purchases.

Wed, Nov 13, 2013 – Pueblo Restaurant night (all day!) at California Pizza Kitchen at Chandler Fashion Center (near Harkins Theatre). Pueblo receives 20% of all proceeds, Includes dine-in, catering and take-out. Great idea for office parties! See attached flyer. A reminder to turn in your CA Pizza Kitchen receipts to the Pueblo office for the School Cents program – this event helps out Pueblo in two ways!
