Saturday, February 1, 2014 - Costco Private Shopping Night and Paper Drive - Elliot and Priest location in Tempe, 7:00 - 9:00 pm.  For every $100 combined total spent, Pueblo will earn a ream of paper. The receipts will be tallied together at the end of the night, so spend a little or a lot - it all counts towards the total. There will be a wish list available that night if you would like to donate to the classrooms. Tell your friends, family and neighbors!  Must be a Costco member.

Wednesday, February 5, 2014 - Pueblo Showcase Night - come to Pueblo and find out what our kids have been up to in iClass. More details to come.

Wednesday, February 12, 2014 - Pueblo Restaurant Night at Sonic, 4:00 - 9:00 pm.  Chandler Blvd and 44^th St in Ahwatukee.

Thursday, February 20, 2014 - PTO general meeting, 6:30 - 7:00 pm - Pueblo Library. All teachers and parents welcome. We will be discussing the transition for parents of 8th graders into high school, as well as other agenda items. Please join us!

Career Day coordinator needed!  A parent volunteer is needed to help coordinate Career Day which will be held sometime Spring 2014. You will be asked to contact a list of people/organizations and then schedule. If interested, contact pueblo.pto@gmail.com.

Pueblo School Store coordinator needed!  Help organize volunteers, order supplies when needed.  This position requires 30-60 minutes of time per week. If interested, contact pueblo.pto@gmail.com.

School Cents - a reminder to please turn in your Chandler Mall receipts to the Pueblo office or Guest Services at the mall. A purchase from any store, restaurant, movie, etc. in the mall or surrounding parking lot area applies.  Any receipt dated since August 15, 2013 counts as double points for Pueblo if submitted by January 31, 2014.  Earn TRIPLE points for Pueblo by shopping at select mall stores in February. See attached flyer for details and a coupon for My Big Fat Greek Restaurant. You can also earn points by "liking" the School Cents Facebook page.  https://www.facebook.com/ShopChandlerFashionCenter

Family Fitness 5K

Did you know that  Volunteering is good for your mind and body?  Volunteering increases self-confidence, combats depression, and helps you stay physically healthy. 

 

Pueblo Middle School has a great opportunity for you to volunteer.  Our 6^th Annual Family Fitness Running Event needs lots of volunteers to make our event run smoothly and safely.  Our biggest need is crossing guards.  As a volunteer crossing guard, you will be stationed at a specific street on the course and your job will be to stop any traffic that might be coming while a runner/walker is passing your position and of course you can cheer for the runners/walkers as they pass you.  It’s a lot of fun, it helps our school/event, and the runners/walkers really appreciate you.  Each volunteer will receive an Iron Girl shirt, snacks and goodies, and be entered into a special volunteer raffle with several prizes.  We love our volunteers.  Please click on the link below to volunteer.  Thank youJ.

We Did It - Milk and Cooke Party for Box Tops is ON!!!

Thank you all who submitted Box Tops!  We reached our goal of 5,000 Box Tops and are celebrating by giving all students a milk and cookie party during lunch this Wed, 12/11/13.  We will need some parent volunteers to help set up so the kids can grab the milk/cookie after they are done with their lunch.  You can help cover 1, 2, or all 3 lunches.

7^th – 11:20 – 12:00

8^th – 12:10 – 12:50

Reminder - box tops deadline extended until Friday, Dec 6

We are trying really hard to give all students a milk and cookie party at lunch in December. The Box Tops deadline has been extended one last time in an effort to obtain just 700 more Box Tops by FRIDAY, DEC 6 to reach our goal of 5,000. Pueblo receives 10 cents per box top!  Please neatly trim all box tops. Any untrimmed box tops will not count towards grade level top 5 award.
